Whitecloud is a military city built on top of an extinct volcano. It gets its name from the thick blankets of cloud that often cover it. During the early days of the first war, Whitecloud was a military encampment that served as a last stand base for Gildan's military personnel and civilians. However, it became famous for the bravery and resilience of less than five hundred angels, humans and elves who stood against a siege of tens of thousands of fallen angels and creel soldiers.

 

The defenders' remarkable feat of holding off the attackers despite being vastly outnumbered was nothing short of heroic, and their story became an inspiration.

 

Today, Whitecloud is the home of the elite Blackhawk army, which has nearly five thousand soldiers. The Blackhawk army is a special military unit skilled in combat and magic warfare. The Blackhawks were formed during the first war, though they became legendary during the vampire wars by defeating the larger vampire army.

 

Whitecloud is also where the renowned Blackhawk paladins reside, with Cougan Gail being the most famous of them all. He is widely expected to be voted as King with the passing of King Kiltin Boah. Cougan Gail has befriended the fairy Nettle, and the two of them have been bonded for years.

 

The Blackhawk army houses Captain Seville De’Thanion, who is highly regarded by many and is often considered for a promotion to the rank of Paladin. However, no woman has ever been elevated to that rank.

 

Whitecloud overlooks the Kragen mountains and serves as the first line of defense against a potential invasion from Tropo. The city is covered in snow for eight months out of the year and has a large lake that remains unfrozen even during the coldest of days. Children are not allowed at Whitecloud even though married couples reside on the base. It is uncommon for elves or Aladaskins to be members of the Blackhawks, though it is not forbidden.

 

Access to the city is restricted only to military personnel or individuals who have been granted permission by General Rodroy, the commander of the Blackhawk army. Whitecloud is a testing ground for new and experimental magic, and anyone caught trespassing on the premises may be subjected to execution at the discretion of the General.
